2017 Honor Roll Appeal
Each year since 1896, Norwood Life Society has hosted a picnic to treat our residents, clients and their families and to thank our staff, volunteers and donors. Along with each year's picnic, we've also conducted our Honor Roll Appeal, to give everyone the opportunity to help our cause in honor of a loved one, caregiver, or whomever they choose. This year's Honor Roll donations will be used to purchase two professionally trained therapy dogs and their related costs.
The two dogs that lived in Norwood Crossing's Memory Support unit for years are now both in heaven and are very much missed. They brought joy and comfort to our residents, family members, staff and volunteers. Studies and our own experience have proven that having an animal makes people feel better, healthier, and happier.
Please consider a gift to the 2017 Honor Roll to help us purchase two professionally trained therapy dogs, necessary accompanying accessories and initial veterinary care. You can honor your loved ones, help us reach our goal, and benefit the seniors in our care.
Please join us at the 122nd Annual Picnic on Sunday, August 20 from noon to 4pm. We will recognize all Honor Roll donors at the picnic and hope to see you there. Feel free to call Jennifer Sigmond, Philanthropy Officer, at 773-577-5308 with any questions you may have.
